Windows Admin Center is a locally deployed, browser-based app for managing servers, clusters, hyper-converged infrastructure.
It comes at no additional cost beyond Windows and is ready to use in production.

Windows Admin Center gives you full control over all aspects of your server infrastructure and is particularly useful for managing servers on private networks that are not connected to the Internet.
Windows Admin Center is the modern evolution of “in-box” management tools, like Server Manager and MMC.

Let us start the installation…
Before we begin, let us discuss its pre-requisites. Here I am using windows server 2019, hence there is no additional install or setting need to be done prior to WAC installation.
However, if you are using lower versions of windows then please follow below link prior to installation
After you download the installer using the given link, click on it to start the installation. the first screen of installation is below 🙂
I am following the default setting. So follow me up 🙂 . Click next..
Tick and next ..
Tick on Redirection HTTP port 80 traffic to HTTPS. By doing this you are forcing the admin URL to use HTTPS only.
This is a good choice from a security point of view.
Done! At last, you will get the below screen with details to log in to the admin center webpage.
Use the URL ( You will get different URL as per your server hostname) to connect. You will be prompted for credentials to get in.
Input Server’s local Administrator and password to enter.
You will see above welcome screen. Click “Skip tour”. You may want to click next to have tour about admin center.
Finally! you will get below home page wherein you will see the server on which you installed the WAC, have already added 🙂
